国庆长假出国自由行，在机场排队坐出租车或用 Uber 打车，从上车前找车、路上指路到下车付钱，都要跟司机说英语。

Whether you’re grabbing a cab at the airport or calling an Uber abroad, you’ll be talking to the driver in English from the moment you get in to the moment you get out.

上车前

用 Uber 打车时，App 会请你确认上车地点，界面上的 pickup 写成一个词，当动词用才拆成 pick up。司机打电话来找人时，可以直接告诉司机你站在哪里。

I set the pickup location at the hotel's main entrance.	我把上车地点设在酒店正门口。
I'm standing by the main entrance, next to the coffee shop.	我站在正门口，咖啡店旁边。
Could you pick me up at Gate 3 instead?	可以改到 3 号门接我吗？

车子停过来，先核对 App 上的车牌号码再上车，也可以问司机这是不是你叫的车。

Your license plate ends in 47, right?	你的车牌最后两位是 47 对吧？
Is this the Uber for Chen?	这是姓陈的乘客叫的 Uber 吗？

带着大件行李，就请司机打开后备箱。英式说法是 boot。

Could you pop the trunk? I've got two suitcases.

可以打开后备箱吗？我有两个行李箱。

有些机场排队坐出租车到市区是固定车费，例如纽约肯尼迪机场到曼哈顿，上车前可以先问司机。

flat fare　固定车费

Is there a flat fare to Manhattan, or is it metered?	到曼哈顿是固定车费，还是打表？
Roughly how much is it to downtown?	到市中心大概多少钱？

路上

赶时间的话，可以请司机走高速公路。

take the highway　走高速公路

Could you take the highway? I need to get to the airport by six.

可以走高速公路吗？我六点前要到机场。

快到的时候导航不一定准，可以跟司机说在哪里转弯。

take a left　左转

Take a left at the next light, and it's the second building on the right.	下一个红绿灯左转，右手边第二栋就是。
Go straight for two more blocks, then take a right.	再直走两个路口，然后右转。

要先买东西或顺路接朋友，就请司机中途停一下。

make a quick stop　中途停一下

Could we make a quick stop at a convenience store on the way?	路上可以在便利店停一下吗？
Could you wait here for a couple of minutes? I'll be right back.	可以在这里等我几分钟吗？我马上回来。

下车与付钱

到了目的地附近，想在路边下车，就请司机靠边停。

pull over　靠边停

You can pull over here.	你可以在这里靠边停。
Could you pull over somewhere safe?	可以找个安全的地方靠边停吗？

告诉司机在哪里让你下车时，me 要放在 drop 和 off 中间。

drop me off　让我下车

Could you drop me off at the corner?	可以让我在拐角下车吗？
Just drop me off in front of the hotel.	在酒店前面让我下车就好。

Uber 的车费在 App 上直接扣款，小费也在 App 里给。坐出租车付现金时，要把找的零钱留给司机当小费，就跟司机说：

keep the change　不用找了

Here's twenty. Keep the change.	这是二十块，不用找了。
Can I pay by card?	可以刷卡吗？
